Amazon and Galapagos

Explore in paddle canoes to the interior of the Yasuni National Park and discover its jungle in the company of a naturalist guide and a native guide, who will teach you the secrets of life in the forest. Observe several species of monkeys, sloths, caimans, giant otters and much more while walking through the forest.

Our 8-day itinerary on the islands will allow you to see much more than the traditional cruises, make the most of every single day on the islands and live a unique experience that you will cherish forever. You will be able to visit the most outstanding sites and learn a bit more about the diversity of the Galapagos.

Day 1 Arrival to Quito. Transfer to the hotel (private) Hotel Patio Andaluz.
Day 2 Visit to the Historic Center of Quito (private). Lunch. Free afternoon. BL
Day 3 Flight to El Coca. Motorized river transportation to the Yasuní National Park and then paddle to the lodge. BLD
Day 4 Jungle exploration in company of a naturalist and native guides. Wildlife observation. BLD
Day 5 Hike into the jungle to the observation tower, with a platform on the top of a giant kapok tree. BLD
Day 6 Transfer by boat to the Coca airport to take the flight back to Quito. Hotel close to the airport. BL
Day 7 Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Galapagos, where our guide will lead you to the boat. BLD
Day 7 - 14 Naturalist cruise of the Galapagos Islands, 8 days (shared; up to 16 passengers) BLD
Day 14 Flight back to Quito. Transfer to the hotel close to the airport. BL

Elegant boutique hotel located in the Historic Center of Quito, in a colonial style house of the end of the XVI Century. This hotel displays great arcs and inner Patios and lies at only 2 minutes walk from the Main Square and among other places of great interest within the Colonial district.

Rincon de Puembo

Hostería Rincón de Puembo is located 15 minutes from Quito’s Mariscal Sucre Airport and 30 minutes from the city’s financial district. A charming place surrounded by beautiful gardens, water fountains, art, peace and tranquility. We spend here our last night or whenever will be better to stay close to the airport.

Trip level

Hikes through dirt and mud trails into the forest. The degree of difficulty of this journey is EASY. Some hikes in nature trails can be MODERATE and require physical fitness, but we make modifications according to the capacity and preferences of the participants. Galapagos hikes in two visitor sites every day, through nature trails, on sand, dirt or volcanic rock, usually up to 3 Km. long (both ways). Snorkeling in waters which vary its temperature during the year between 16 and 26°C. Dry or wet landings, on rocks, jetties or directly on a sandy beach. Quito is situated at 2,800 meters above sea level.
